I was in the forum over there today and a few people were talking about zazzle so I went on over to check it out...well I made the choice to start in on it and sure enough I have myself another website to take care of! http://www.zazzle.com/momasart I have a few items up there but if you see anything in my photography website that you would like to have on a coffee cup, t-shirt, etc etc let me know and I will design it!

Good morning.

To start out I have to say that yesterday was a pretty good day. It went by really quickly and that is what I was hoping for.

We mailed off two purses that I sold over the Holiday and then spent most of the day keeping my children from killing each other and cleaning things up a bit thru out the house. Sat down last night to do some sewing and ended up going a totally different direction with the whole thing. I made a...what would I call it?...A hand wallet of sorts. It looks like a clutch.

I don't know if I am going to keep the strap like that...it doesn't look bad, it gives the clutch some character.

Wow! Just looked out side to find it hailing and raining. Thank goodness I got the back porch cleaned up while the sun was shining...I was hot flashing so it was actaully quite nice to be outside in the fresh air. Of course there are some things sitting out in the rain that are a pain in the butt to dry out...oh well, there wasn't anywhere else to put it. My husband will probably be upset with me but that is what happens when I mention cleaning up the back porch (last week) and it doesn't get done.

The landlord is here to cut up more of our tree. I know it needs to be taken care of but I don't want it to die next year because it was cut now during the cold season....When are you supposed to trim tree? They are most likely going to wait till it is dry again to do it. It is our only shade.

Back to fabric. I am sitting here looking at a pile of cut out purses, I have dinner done, I will start sewing these up this week.

I also sold two more purses over the Holiday weekend!! So exciting!! I am thinking of finding a map and marking all of the places that my purses have gone. I think it is a really cool idea. I also found a shop at Etsy that does decals for car windows...it doesn't cost much so I am going to get two of those for my car.

Ok more to get done around here so I will go for now. I will post pictures up everywhere as I get the purses done.

Not feeling like bloging much so I might not be around for a little while. But I am getting some more things done regarding my purses...I should have more up soon :)

Holiday Thoughts

I can't believe that the Holidays are here!
Next year I am going to try and have some seasonal stuff up...I have been drooling over some Christmas fabric since I first saw it but I am unable to buy it due to lack of funds around here. So sad.
There are 4 new bags posted on my shops and you can purchase them now. Still have fabric sitting here at my table...should be cutting things out but other stuff, my family my home, take priority first. It will get done.

Christmas music playing in the background, Children on their beds resting quietly, my kitchen is calling me to be used, in the mood for some baking goodness but not at all ready for the pounds that follow! Actually have done pretty well these last months...haven't lost anything but on the upside I haven't gained anything either!
I need to make my pumpkin pies for tomorrows feast. I am going to do my darndest not to eat to much of it though...I do love my pumpkin pies!! I would envite you over for some but it would probably most likely be gone by the time you got here.

Things I am thankful for today:

1. My family
2. Friends
3. My husband
4. My children
5. A roof over our head as small as it may seem
6. Food on our table
7. Fall colors that fall from the sky out my window
8. Blogs ; )
9. And for what ever the Lord has planned for my days to come

I don't know that I will be online much this weekend so have a really sweet time with your family and friends and Happy Thanksgiving!

Actually did some ironing and cutting this evening.
Ironing the new fabric I received in the mail the other day.
Cutting out the facing fabric for the purses I will be finishing and starting.
My son turned 8 yrs old today so had a little party for him. He got the game "SORRY" and a Lego car, a bunch of classic books and Ratatouille. Tomorrow I will most likely be playing "Sorry" most of the day.

I have some plans sketched out in my head for next years Thanksgiving and Christmas season. Thinking I am going to put together some Themed items for the occasion. I might even do something for Valentines day also. We will see what happens.

It's funny, while I was ironing I was realizing that Michael Miller Fabrics are what I seem to be using and loving most. Would be so cool to just collect all of his fabric designs!

Wow, it's 11:00pm I think I need to get to bed or I will be dead to the world tomorrow.

New Purses

Here are the four purses I made the other day. I got the handles put together last night. Need to get more of the black with white dots because I am pretty much out. This is the only picture I have so far...will have my husband take the other pictures (with me holding them) later hopefully...or I might just try and take them myself, we will see.

A Happier Note

Things are doing better around here.
I spent the weekend getting some deep cleaning done in the house and we are just about finished with the portfolio and I got about 4 bags sewn up last night!!! Still a whole lot to get done but I feel better now that I have gotten out of the slump I was in.

It is blustery out today and very wet... A nice day to just be cozy on the couch...not happening but I could dream. Have some orange chicken in the crock pot and made some layered pumpkin loaf. It smells so good!

I moved some furniture around in my sewing room and I feel better about it now...don't know how long this will last but for now it's all good :)

Was over at my Etsy shop http://www.sleeplessstitch.etsy.com I have a bunch of stuff in my favorites, would really love to buy a few things but have to control myself because we are trying to get ourselves out of debt. LIFE...

So list of things to do...

• Get pics of bags that are finished
• Sew up the rest of the bags that are cut out
• Make rice and veggies for dinner tonight to go with our Orange Chicken
• Clean dishes and pick up kitchen
• Maybe get some stuff together to make Christmas gifts...Think that is how it has to be this year. But I think hand made gifts can out do anything from a store any day!

Over Loaded in My Brain!

Have you ever felt so overloaded in your head with ideas that you couldn't see straight!?!
I don't even know where to begin...so much I could do and it isn't getting done, I can't release all of the tension inside.
A friend wants me to make a diaper + wipe carrier.
Have finally started on my portfolio for Journeys.
Still have things sitting on my ironing waiting for me to sew together.
And on top of all of it...my house is a dissaster and my children need my attention!
Can I pull my hair out now?
Here I re-arranged rooms so that I would have my own place to sew and I don't want to be in the room...I love that I can have this room but yet if my husband is in the living room in the evening, I don't want to be all alone in the other room by myself.
I think we are growing out of this house! The kids are getting older and with the five of us in a three bedroom one bath and both of us doing things that need space, me with my purses and my husband with his bands and music, there is just no room for all of us! I also homeschool so the sewing room is also the class room.
It's like we can't breath and then we just end up driving each other crazy.
You know it feels a lot better getting this out on the table. Now to just keeping going forward and doing the best that we can.
