slump...

Man, I was so excited to get back into my sewing but then I got sick once again for this season...This doesn't happen to me every year but when it does it's a doozy. : (
Sold a bag over the weekend in my etsy shop. It's going over seas to Australia and then to the UK as a Christmas gift!! That was exciting to find out : ) my first international sale!

I haven't done any sewing because I don't think it is a good idea to sew when your not in your right mind...so it sits and waits for my return. Got some business cards today...so will work on getting some made so that I can hand them out to those who ask.

Christmas is just around the corner so I am hopeing that sales pick up.
Will call the manager of Journeys and see when he will be in the store then put together the portfolio and take it into him.

Off to make some promised cookies for my children while they are resting in their rooms and then into the sewing area to see if I can get myself motivated and in order once again : )

Good morning : )


Well went into Journeys Saturday at the Mall and showed the manager my purses. He loved them and so did the other guys working there!! He kept stareing at my bag that I use, the fabric is awesome what can I say ; ) I do have more of that fabric so will make some bags out of it asap. I gave him my websites and phone number, but he would like some photos also, so I have a portfolio to make and take in. The manager will be on vacation for a week so that should give me enough time to get everything put together...busy busy busy!! I am just hopeing that the out come is a good one.


I have tons of sewing to do also to finish up what I have cut out on my table...On top of all of this I managed to catch another cold again so, Lord give me strength to get all of this done and stay on top of my home and taking care of my three small ones all at the same time!



This is what I did on Saturday when I was putting my labels together...Laid the iron right on my hand...This is what happens when you have little sleep the night before and your brain isn't working properly ; ) That is how much of myself I put into these bags : ) So much love and tears I tell ya. lol. It is going to be a nice scar.

So today would seem like a great day to start in on some other designs I have in my head. The wind is blowing everything around outside, it's cold and yet I am still in my pj's and watching an old movie...the kids are calm...it is a perfect time.

Yesterday I took the kids to the mall and we went into Journeys...they sell mostly shoes but also have a hand full of bags there. Some friends of mine mentioned to the manager what I do and he wants to see them and send pictures to corperate to see if they will let him sell my bags in the store...that would be so very cool...I am just praying that they will pay me well for them and that it will be worth it. I am really just excited that the purses could be in public and not just online! :)

Three New Purses

This is my green plaid purse. I have one already at my Etsy shop. This one is a little different, the bow is in a different place.

I have been waiting to find the grey fabric to go with this purse and I didn't even realize it was under my nose the whole time! Perfect!!

And the butterfly purse...Love the butterfly fabric!

I don't have these for sale yet...If you are interested and want one now leave a comment. I am going to Journeys at the mall on Saturday to see if they are interested first and then will place them for sale at my Etsy shop or on my other website. I also need to get the labels made and sewn on the bags...Seems like so much to do.

New Label!

We finally finished the new labels for my purses! My husband used my eye and put it all together...I think it was a good idea :)
I also got another purse done and have some more to go as always but we are getting there...will go into the store at the mall this weekend and take thus purses into them so that the manager can take pictures and send them to the high ups...I sure hope they go for it! That would be so cool!!
Now to retake some pictures of my purses so that they are more attractive...I will post some pictures as soon as I am able and ready to.
Off to get my kids going for the day...and get some coffee made I think...It is a beautiful Fall day out, enjoy it :)

I think I got the hang of this...so here we go...

Today is a day I need to start cutting and sewing again...haven't done so for a good few weeks now and things need to get done.
I have half done baby quilts, cut out but not sewn together purses, and so many ideas running thru my head I don't even know where to begin!
First off I need to get the purses done...There is a store in the mall that wants to have a look at my work and is interested in placing some of my purses there to help out a local ; ) I am nervous and excited all at the same time! What an opportunity!
I do need to get some labels made to sew on my purses...That is going to take some creativity, will also need to work on that...
Anyone have any ideas?
My husband works for a screen printing place and I have the fabric. It is just paying for the screen and the ink I believe...not bad...our friend that also works there said he would make the screen and print everything up for me.
Well off to see what I can get done.

New!

I've seen a lot of people here lately and thought I would try it out and see how I like it.

My daily ativities consist of:
Schooling my children.
Cleaning my home so I don't go insane.
Cooking/Baking...I love baking more then anything but it does add inches to the waistline ; )
Sewing...I make purses and what ever else comes to mind : )
