A New Year Comin'

Can you believe that the year is about over with!?!
I honestly don't know what next year will bring.
But I am going to do my best to make it a good one.
Hopeing to get myself in gear with my purses,
maybe getting them in some little shops or even Journeys.
Wanting to plan some camping trips.
In-laws want us all to go to Disney Land in September...
I really don't want to go but if it is in the Lord's will then I will go.
It is quiet at the moment.
Big J is doing his school work and Mr. T and Lil J are sitting
on the couch looking at books, while Barney is on the tube in the
background. Have to clean up around here because we are
having some friends over for food and fun.
and just becuase the house is a mess.
That is another thing I plan on doing...We have crap around here
that we really don't need or have any use for...lots to get
rid of so that things are simpler around here, the clutter is
getting me down big time.
So I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and that you
are all safe and well for the New Year!
Have a wonderful day!!

I have been doing some thinking this last week and I have decided to do some changes with my purses. I have an idea in my head and now I just have to sit down and try it out. There will be pockets involved and I am thinking zippers or magnets. Not sure until I actually do it.
We are all counting down to Christmas Day and the kids are very excited. Snow would be nice to see fall, but it looks like all we will see is rain and some sunshine.
Just want to, again, wish everyone a wonderful day and a joyful Christmas/Holiday!

My children were being creative this evening.
One of the dears decided that it would be cool to place a plastic magnet piece on their bedroom light. I don't know how long it sat there but it was totally stuck!

On the 14th decided to rake all the leaves up that accumulated in our back yard.
All were from the neighbors tree and the pile ended up being, I'd say 5 feet tall.
Here are the kids playing in thus pile and having a grand time!
Kept them busy for over an hour! Gotta love the priceless things in life :)

9 days left till Christmas and I think I am ready as much as I can get ready. Still waiting on my husband's gifts to arrive. They should show up tomorrow.
I would tell you what it is but then I would have to delete my blog and I'm not doing it so you will have to wait for pictures later ;)
Some items that I have already gotten are from http://www.etsy.com/ and I have to say I am extremely happy with all of them!!
We have all been fighting the bug this week so keeping things cleaned up around here has been really hard. I am so ready for some Spring cleaning! Can't wait to be able to open the doors and windows and clean away. That will be a glorious day I tell ya, GLORIOUS DAY!!
Ok I think I am all blogged out for the evening so I am heading out of here.
Good night :)

15 days left!!

So this is our tree we got this weekend! I don't know when but we will have the kids decorate, well help decorate later, maybe this weekend.
Funny I always tend to get ahead of myself during the Holidays and then I get all bumbed because it feels like it is taking for ever. I think I would love it if we could celebrate Christmas all month with parties and gift giving. Which I am sure others do out there. I don't sleep at night, I get antsy and really just want to go over board but can't.

I haven't done any sewing since the last post...wow! I have thought of all kinds of ideas and yet haven't done any of them.

We were able to get some Christmas presents, I so wish we could do more but it doesn't look like this is that kind of year. I always tell myself that I'm going to buy thru out the year so that we will have gifts for everyone at the end of the year... It seems like it would be so much easier that way. The good prices aren't always just in December.

Got my husband a few gifts and then he goes and mentions the item...WHICH IS WHAT I GOT HIM!!! So frustrating, I had a headache so I yelled at him when he called today and told him I wasn't going to talk about it. He really doesn't know what I got him and the fact that there is more then one item. Can't suprise the guy at all, well unless I bought him the quitar he has been drooling over for about a month now. He would seriously crap his pants if that was under the tree. In our rich life I say.

Things I have in mind:
There are some things that I would like to make to sell in my parent's store/restaurant.
Would like to make some clothes.
Some stuffed animals.
finish up the purses I still have waiting for me on the table.

Now to get orginized in my head ; )
I am hoping that next year will be a whole lot better and that the purses I have will sell quickly and that what ever I make to add to my shops will be well liked and will sell also.

Well need to go heat up dinner for tonight before my man gets home from work because we have to go out tonight. Hope everything is still open by that time and that it won't cost a whole lot.

Have a great day!

This is the new purse I posted in http://www.sleeplessstitch.etsy.com and http://www.freewebs.com/sleeplessstitch

I also have these fabrics ready for sewing. They are in the same style as the bag above.
Their names:
Black Tattoo
Snazzy Floral
Mod Kitty

You can purchase all of them now! I will be sewing these purses up shortly but I wanted to show you what I had before I do so. The style is slightly different then my other purses but still really incredibly cute!!

I will also be taking more pictures of everything later.

Things around here are pretty good. It finally stopped raining and things are slowly getting back to normal here in the NorthWest.
Still haven't gotten anything decorative out for Christmas...it really feels like any other month. I think I need to start making decorations for next year...Then it will feel like Christmas all month instead of just a few weeks.

Well the children are restless so I need to go take care of the situation.
Have a great day!!

December 3, 2007

This is what I was working on yesterday...I tried to get myself in the sewing mood to finish the purses I have cut out but for some strange reason I just don't do it. What I am doing, since you might think well the quilt looks like it is finished...Not at all...I am hand quilting it to keep everything in place on the quilt. It isn't to bad, I figured out the hours spent and it is only about 15 hours for the hand stitching not including the edges that I did with my machine and the fabric prep. I do have some more quilts waiting for me but knew that I needed to get the purses done first. ; )

Last night I had to change things around again. The kids were going insane and so I had to put our oldest back into his own room and all my sewing stuff back out here in the living/dinning room again. It is alright I guess, maybe I can figure out a place in my bedroom when I get that all cleaned up one of these days...it's a mess right now.

The kids are all ready for Christmas decor and a tree so hopefully we will be able to go get a tree the end of this week or on the weekend. I will have to take some pictures to brighten up my page here.

And we were blessed on Sunday by someone, I don't know who, but we are able to buy our children Christmas presents now and to get the tree! I feel so blessed!!! The Lord told me not to worry and I didn't : ) He knows our hearts and our desires and He truely cares about the little things in our lives.

Well need to go make dinner before my man gets home.
Have a wonderful day!
