There are two pockets and one of the purses has two extra small pockets on the out sides of the two main pockets that you could put a couple pens or maybe even a lipstick in.

Well I finally had a little time to sew a couple purses this afternoon.

Sorry I don't have a pic of them finished yet, but this is the fabric I used.

The background color is chocolatey.

I'm off to try and fix dinner, my husband just got home from work.

Not feeling very well at all...he says I look flush...OH PLEASE LORD DON'T LET IT BE THE FLU!!!

Those Little Suprises...

I absolutely love those special little suprises that happen out of the blue.
Friday my husband came home with a little extra in his pocket...a bonus!! We were so suprised and blessed.
We were able to get a new lamp for the T.V. it went out a while ago so we have had to go back to our smaller T.V. . Down sizing when you are used to a certain size is not fun. We say once you go big it's harder to go back.
I was also able to get the thread I needed and I got a few buttons and bobbins for my machine. I only had three and that is definately not enough in my book. : )
So the sewing will continue and I am determined to get everything I have cut out sewn up this week! I will have some late nights but I really need to get this done asap!!!
I got our taxes about finished also...should have them totally done by the first since our state doesn't open their department until the end of January.

I feel like I have accomplished so much and it is such a wonderful feeling!!
My living room is clean, the kids rooms aren't bad, the kitchen, well it always is a process for me. The sun was shining almost all day and we have dry days ahead! I am still pms'ing but there is always light at the end of the tunnel.
It's all good!!

Procrastination or Blame the PMS

Let's blame the pms.

That fabric I said was calling for me...Well it is still sitting over there on the table, waiting.

I still haven't made what I was going to make, but I can say that I have a name for the purse it will be one of these days. "Mint Chocolate" Doesn't that sound yummy!!! I love mint chocolate!!

I really desperately need to get some new thread so that my sewing machine will quit feaking out. It doesn't work very well when you have two different kinds of thread. It is frustrating when the tention doesn't seem to want to cooperate.

Maybe this weekend I will be able to go out and get this thread shopping done. We will see, things always seem to go in a different direction lately.

Not much else to say, sitting here eating some Garden Salsa Sun Chips and listening to the quietness. The kids are all down for a much needed rest, the sun is shining. It looks like a perfect time to get some sewing done. I am off to try and make this happen.

Oh, how I long to see the warm sun once again.

I feel I have fallen in despair with this grey sky all around me.

Lord, bring us the warm weather soon so that my days may

be bright and cheery.

Ok so really I am just suffering with my pms.

But it would be nice to see Spring come because it only means that summer is around the corner and that we can open our doors and windows to let the fresh air in.

My last post at the end spoke of some fabric calling me...well I still honestly haven't gotten to it yet. But I know exactly what it is going to look like so at least I am part way there.

I am a little down about the whole thing (again most likely my pms) I haven't sold any purses in a long while. All I get is wonderful sweet comments on them and all who have bought them are greatly pleased with the product.

I just don't know. The only reason why I stress I guess you could say is because we could really use the money. We are trying to get all of our debt paid down or completely off and my in-laws want us all to go to Disneyland in September because the kids have never been and it is "the perfect age" for them to go and have fun.

We already have a place to stay because of my husband's wonderful sweet grandma and her time shares but we still need to get there and pay to get into the park. So I am thinking we will need $2,000.00 or more. It may not seem like a whole lot to some but this is a huge amount for us.

So much that seems so overwhelming but I know everything will work out in the end.

It is just hard to be patient and trust sometimes when you are going thru little trials in your life.

Ok so I didn't want this to be a "Poor me" post.

It just would be nice to sell all of my purses and have an empty Etsy shop and website.

I think I will go and get myself cleaned up and dressed and then I am going to try and turn my gloomy day around. It is already noon but I still have some time before the day is over with. :)

So I will be grateful that

we finally got food stamps and won't have to eat our condiments for lunch or dinner.

I will be grateful that

the sun is still out there shining even if the clouds are in the way.

I will be grateful that

my children are some what quiet today.

I will be grateful that

I can still make a change.

What is a Person to do?

So I got some more fabric cut out and everything ready to go only to realize that I don't have the right thread or enough for that matter...Frustration because I so wanted to get things done.

I guess I will just go thru everything I have cut out and see if I have any thread to go with any of it. I am sure I have something in my huge pile ; )

I can't believe it is the weekend already! What a nice week it has been and to end it with sunshine out my window is simply marvelous! I am so ready for Spring and warmer weather!

I am about finished with the baby quilt for my sister-in-law, this is their first baby, we won't find out until Monday if their is a girl or boy inside her cute tummy. But thank goodness the fabric I got for the quilt can be for either. I think I have about 3 more hours to go of hand stitching. So in total it took me, I believe 15 or so hours just for the hand work and then probably about 2-3 hours of cutting and putting together and sewing the edges. I have some more quilts ready to be made but I will probably if I can do those in between doing my purses.

Well I have some yummy fabric calling my name and telling me what it wants to be so I am going to go and get it done before I lose it. ; )

A New Day.

Hey everyone!

Hope you all had a fabulous New Year celebration and that all were safe.

Ours was a quiet one.

Mike's Lemonade and channel surfing because there really wasn't anything on and we don't have cable.

I wanted to share with you some new things I put together these last few days!

This is what I guess I can call a travel pouch. Inside is a colorful pink/yellow satin type fabric...a picture wouldn't show it justice. I honestly have the hardest time with sewing zippers, I don't know why, I do know that if I keep practicing with them I will get better though. So we will keep working on that issue.

These are cute little totes. I thought wouldn't it be cool for little girls to have a tote they could carry with them to school or V Day parties for their Valentines cards and candies that they receive from their sweet hearts.

And this beauty!!! Oh my gosh this was so much fun to make!! This is the only fabric I had so there are no more being made until I get some more purses sold. Can't make more with out money. Pink Chocolate YUM!! It also has two pockets inside and the closure are magnets. I am really proud of this sweet bag...It will be sad to see it sold.

So that has been my last few days and I think I am excited for this year. We will see what happens. I have a small list of a few shops that would probably take my purses, I just need to get out there. I honestly get nervous when I think about that but I know that it would be worth it.

Well I am off to watch a movie with my love and eat onion rings...yum!
