Re: my zazzle shop

I just wanted to tell you about http://www.myzazzle.com/momasart

All the photography is taken by me.

Great poster sizes from 15"x11" to 69"x52"

I do think most of my photography can only go up to 47"x35"

The other items I also put together.

These all make great gifts to have a look!

You can also have the choose different paper mediums and have them framed!

Hope everyone has a beautiful Valentines Day!

Loss

Had a loss over the weekend. One of my husband's Uncle's passed away.
Memorial is Friday night and the family members are here with some on the way.
So spending time with everyone during this time.
Don't know when I am going to start sewing again, haven't done anything for a while now because I have been sick, this is going on my second week. It is hard to be creative when your head is plugged up.

So that is all that is going on for now...hopefully things will be better next week.

Anyone Love Homemade Tomato Soup!?!

I don't have chicken soup and frankly don't care to eat chicken soup right now so I came up with this and I think I am going to be eating it for the next month or so if I have my way. ;)

Homemade Tomato Soup!
Taken from a 1950 Betty Crocker cookbook

Blend in pot

3 TBSP Butter

2 TBSP Flour

1 tsp Salt

1/8 tsp Pepper (I just shook some in)

This is where I step in and change things

1 can 28 oz. (1 lb. 12 oz.) Peeled Whole Tomatoes in Tomato Juice

1 can 10.75 oz. Tomato soup (Cheap store brand)

1 can 6 oz. of Tomato Paste

Crushed Dried Basil to taste

(this adds a wonderful flavor to the soup, highly recommended!)

1/4 tsp Baking Soda (that is actually in the recipe)

I mix it up really good and mush all the tomatoes up with my hands to break them down because I don't like waiting. Once everything is stirred up reallygood.

then add

4 cups Milk

Bring to boil, stirring constantly.

I don't know how much this feeds but it is a really good pot and we had enough for two days...only becuase the five of us had big bowls of it!

I also crushed up some ritz crackers (the perfect cracker for Tomato soup I think) and some finely shredded Colby cheese on top!

OH SO GOOD!!!! ENJOY :)

Spring Cleaning and What Not

Ok even though I have a cold and the kids do also, we are doing better today!
I am determined to get things done around here!! I have had my coffee and breakfast and now I need to get myself together, get the kids motivated in getting their messes cleaned up and school work done and then the major house cleaning begins!
I am early but I am ready for the spring cleaning to begin!
The sun is shining but the skies are that stormy grey color. Very beautiful...
Hopefully the kids can get their stuff done so they can go outside in the fresh air before the rain starts up once again.
Ok gotta stop hanging out on the computer...
Off to get things done!
Have a fabulous day!!

It has started out ruff this week.
I wasn't feeling to good over the weekend and then it hit Monday morning when I woke up. Stuffy nose, face hurts and my throat is screaming at me which makes it hard to swallow. It feels like sand paper. NO FUN : (

The sun is finally out and I see blue sky so I will be off reading and taking care of my children who also have colds... Never ending this job of mine ; ) But that is life, being a mom.

Need to figure out what we are going to do for dinner. I have a lot of chicken but that is about it. I think I am craving mashed potatoes...I just got an idea! Off to start dinner.

I will leave you with this beauty...

Have a good rest of the week.

A Nice Suprise

Got up this morning and checked my email and
OH! what a sweet suprise to find a purse sold!!
It is one I have had for awhile and it is finally getting a new home,
all the way up in Canada!

This means a lot to me, I was getting discouraged about the whole sewing thing and was wondering if just giving it all up would be best for me.

Now I can buy some more fabrics and the supplies I need to make the grocery bags for a store on the coast!

It is funny too that all of my sales, except for five at my Etsy shop, have happened thru my freewebs website (Over 50 sales). Have I really been doing this going on three years!?! WOW.

Well off to get myself together and to get some things done so that maybe I can get more sewing in today. My husband's band is playing a show tonight so I will have time to get lots of sewing done while the children sleep.

I think I need to sit down with a map and put marks in all the places my purses have gone... it's pretty cool to think that my purses have gone to places I have never been before, like Australia, the UK, Canada, and all over the states! Exciting to think about really. : )
