Skulls, Flowers, Babyshower Cake and Free Shipping

Just putting up some photos I took this last weekend.

A daffodil from my front yard...I think I have three or so different kinds of daffodils. I wish I knew all of their names.
And yet another babyshower attended. Nope didn't make this cake...it was so yummy though! Can't go wrong with chocolate cake!
This week has been unproductive...My allergies aren't being very nice to me this year. I have so much to do around the house before our friend shows up on Friday to stay with us. It is only for a night but I really want the house cleaned anyways.

Just got a nice phone call from a friend asking me if I would take some family photos for them!! That made my day!!! It should be nice and the photos will be taken outside...I like that a lot!!! Hoping this weekend is going to be wonderful like they said it would be.

Still didn't finish up the last purse I made...I had an excuse alright! My nephew was born. ; )

OH and I have free u.s. shipping in my etsy shop until May 9th so head on over and take advantage of the moment!! After the 9th I will also be taking out the stuff I have in my etsy shop to make room for more.

OK, off to try and get something done and maybe open up the curtains to let the light in...that might make me feel better.

The Baby is Here!!

I just wanted to say that I'm an Auntie!!!

The little guy came into the world bright eyed and ready for life.

His momma and daddy did so well for him being their first child.

The whole day was just amazing and his cousins did well with being there all day too.

He is seriously a peice of perfection!

8 lbs 4 oz and 21 1/2 inches long.

And what was amazing is that he didn't finally go to sleep until two three hours later after he was born... So allert! Just amazing! And beautiful of course. : )

Well it is really late and I am so tired that I might just fall right off my chair, so I will say good night. : )

This weekend is going to be good!

First off my sister-in-law is going to be induced tomorrow morning!!

They are very nervous since this is their first. I can't wait to hold the little guy!!

My friend and her husband are finding out tomorrow if they are having a boy or girl.

This is their first. She isn't due till September.

And I have a baby shower to go to for another friend.

It seems this is the season for babies!!! I can't even count how many people I know that are having babies out there. It is all very exciting.

I am almost finished with the purse I started the other day. (see photo in last post)

Still need to make the button hole and add the button for the closure. Should really do that but right now I am trying to get my bedroom cleaned up...it's a mess and is driving me nuts. If we owned the house I would have already pushed the one wall out about 4 foot. It is long and some what narrow...not a whole lot of room. Heck if we owned the house I would be adding a second floor and another bathroom!! : D

Well I will post a photo of my new nephew after he is born if I am able to make it to the Hospital to see them... My brother-in-law wants me to take photos of the baby for them. That was a special request and I am excited. Pray that all the pictures turn out and that I can get some really special ones for them!

Ok my little break is over back to my room I go.

On My Table

So this is what sits on my table as I type.

The reason why it is still sitting there is because I got up and walked away.

Children are hungry, need to make lunch...I guess I am hungry also.

So off I go to do or not do the things I want to or have to do.

Hope everyone is having a good day...I know I could use one right now.

Maybe I will send them out in the rainy blustery weather to play for a bit...Note to self...find some rain boots for the kids! And buy more laundry soap!

Finally...Updated w/ Better Photos!!!

I got a new purse put together!!

It is actually some fabric I have had for the last year or two. I had it all cut out but hadn't put it together. This is my own design. I think it turned out pretty good. There is a pocket on the front and a section that you could put a cell phone if you wanted.
I also placed a pocket on the inside. There are two sections.

These photos are a whole lot better then the ones I had earlier.

I will probably put it in my etsy today...we will see.

I love Spring time

Spring time, when all the new colors are born.
The leaves on the trees are new and glorious in there bright greens. The flowers have opened and showed their beauty that was hiding within these last cold months of winter.

I love Spring time! Now if it was only a little bit warmer. ; )

Scary Night in Our Home!!!

It was a normal kind of night. Kids in bed a little after 7:00 pm, husband and I in the living room watching a dvd and some telly. Then everything changed in a flash.
Cop shows up at the door...didn't really look at the time but I know it was before 10:00...to our surprise with our oldest son (8yrs)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOLY FREAKIN' CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jonas had been walking in his sleep. He had gotten dressed and put on a shoe and flip flop then got the lock of his window and climbed out. He was found at the 7-Eleven down the street...I think it is about a five/ten minute walk from here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Praise the LORD, He had angels watching over our little guy. We didn't hear a thing and we had even been thru the house a few times...the house isn't that big either! I guess a couple went to the store and saw him and they called the cops saying it looked like a child neglect...the cop told us that it wasn't (haha it's nice to know we aren't neglectful) and he totally understood because he is also a sleep walker.
I seem calm on the outside but on the inside I am falling apart!!! Last week the thought of this happening went thru my head and I was asking myself what I would do and how I would respond...I guess now I know.
So my husband re-enforced a screw in the window so that it can't be opened anymore then 3 inches and in my freaking out I kept Jonas' bedroom door open a crack and put the laundry hamper and some bubble wrap in front of his door because I thought if he got up again I would hear him better if he were to step on the bubble wrap or walk into the laundry hamper.
So yeah, that was our night and I pray to God that it doesn't happen again. I was a sleep walker also. It is a scary thing to find out the things you do in your sleep. When I was younger we lived on a farm in Southern Oregon...outside our kitchen door a ways was an extremely HUGE colony of fire ants that had built a hill in an old door frame...my parents found me sitting on it. Scary!!
Ok I'm going to go hug my kids now. Thank You Lord for protecting my boy!!

Cleaned more of our bedroom this morning...

I am trying to figure out a space to use for my sewing and fabric habit.

I think everything will fit in the bedroom but I have some things I need to do in order for this to happen. We will see, maybe I will post pictures of the process.

Off to spend time with my husband, he just got home from work.

Fun in the Sun with my Camera

Its back to being cold outside. So spent the day playing in my flickr site. Some of the new photos I have added have turned out pretty amazing! I have an imagekind site again...did I already mention that? Sorry if I did.Will probably go into my zazzle shop and add some of them to that also.I love taking pictures and growing in my knowledge of my camera.

So tired and all because of my allergies. Saturday you could see the pollen floating thru the air. It was like clouds floating thru the skies. My face and neck are all puffy too. I think I need to get some allergy medicine. I wonder if I could take Clariton...I am extremely sensitive to medication of any kind. If I could take it during the day and not fall alseep then all would be great! :)

We went to a friends wedding on Saturday in Silverton. We have never been to Silverton...There were so many things I could have taken pictures of. Gorgeous victorian and country houses...I actuaully took a few pics of some farm homes and an old, what seems to be, an old school house. I put some of the pictures in my flickr (link is on the side of this page)

Today we spent the afternoon cleaning out some of the garage and throwing out a lot of stuff into the garbage and recycling bins...So much that isn't needed in our lives anymore. It is amazing how much you can collect!! I have a good amount that is going to go in our garage sale at the end of May, so that is nice also. I am hopeing that all will go!

Still no sewing going on around here. But always ideas floating thru my head. Wish I could kick what ever this is. I think I might have gotten burned out on the whole sewing thing...I have been doing it for the last three years I think. Started with aprons...wow, it has been a while. Want to do something new and expand on what I have. So much fabric so little time it seems.

Well it is late...Husband is watching Venture Brothers and I am so incredibly sleepy from these allergies... I think it is time for bed and can't believe this weekend is already over!!

Fabrics in My Hand!!

I used the check I got from a survey website and bought some fabric today!!

I will definitely be looking for more of these fabrics

because I absolutely fell in love with them when I saw them.

Now to get some grocery bags made for the shop at the coast

and then maybe I will start in on the guy bag.

Again I have put a ton of creative thinking on my plate

and am excited to jump on in to all of it!!!
I think I’m back!! And it feels good!

I went this last weekend with the girls and loved it!

Fun and entertaining movie.

Good date movie also cause there is something for guys and girls.

I can’t wait to see it again when it comes out on DVD.

I would love to live out there in the warm sand and waves!

If only it was not in hurricane territory. : (

Today

So I wanted to share a special moment I encountered today.

I love it when children sleep. So peaceful and quiet.

Don't know why she was wearing the earmuff...they did make the moment even sweeter though.

Ok off to do something I don't know what...the band had a show tonight so I have nothing to do and really don't feel like sewing even though I probably should...Well seriously should since I haven't been for so long. I know I keep saying I'm going to do but all I end up doing is re-arranging my many boxes of fabric and things. Procrastination IS NOT MY FRIEND!!

My Photography

I put up my shop where I sell my photography above my posts. Photography is another one of my loves in the creative world. At this time I am unable to do all the printing myself so I thought this was the next best thing. I had a place at imagekind.com but cancelled that after it had sat there for a while. I think I got impatient.

Thanks to those who have given me ideas for the fabric I showed a few posts ago. I will see what I can come up with. :)

Ok gonna go now. Haven't felt very good today so not feeling like writing much.

Today the sun finally made it's presents and there wasn't a cloud in site.

But that also brought the allergy headache.

So I wasn't out much but I couldn't resist and had to have the doors open.

My children did go out once the warmer temperatures got to a nice warm number.

They went out and picked all the dandelions for me.

And then we met a new friend who came thru the fence and seemed to have adopted us. She was so pretty I took some photos. She wanted in the house also...but that's a negatory because momma is allergic to cats. I did pet her a bit because I couldn't help myself.So now the kids are watching Alvin and the Chipmunks and I am going to sit and start reading "The Creative Family" by: Amanda Blake Soule

April...

Amazing...we have made it to April.

The sun seems to be shineing brighter then usual and it is a gorgeous day out! We still have our heat on though and the air is crisp but warmer weather is ahead and then the doors will be open and the warm spring breezes will flow thru our home once again.

My allergies aren't going to like it but I don't care. I am ready for it.

I'm still in my pj's and the kids are slowly cleaning the living room up as they watch the first season of Transformers...what memories to be had.

My goal today is to get my room cleaned and other parts of the house cleaned so that I can get my sewing things out...I can't believe the procrastination I am dealing with this year...it drives me nuts that I allow myself to do that!

So ok before I get caught up in other things on this darn waste of my time computer I will go.
