Today...

Ok I cheated a little and copy and pasted this in from my myspace blog. It is just one of those lazy kind of days.

Got the pool up and filled last night but I don't know if the blow up part at the top is going to last...which means we might have to get a new pool. : ( That will suck especially since we just filled this one with a butt load of water, of course it would make the grass green up big time! Kind of sucks. The kids did get out and played in it today...sorry no pics I was laying in the sun. : ) This pasty girl needs a tan!!
I have some photos of the new blanket I am working on.

Yes, the blanket is as soft as it looks!! I love the little bug eyed goldfish. Each one has a name under it. Heather Ross is the creator of the fabric. I love it!!
The kids should sleep well tonight and I should be able to work on the blanket...maybe even finish it!
Well need to go my man is gonna be home shortly and I need to get dinner done and some things on Craig's List. Anyone in the Portland area looking for a table and 6 chair set? Ok I'm out. Have a great day in the sun!

My Camera and Inspirations

I use a Panasonic DMC-LS70 LUMIX
Kind of embarrassed to show such a little camera after you have seen some of my photography.
Most of it I don't do anything but put the setting on what I want and then focus and shoot. If I mess with the photos in anyway it is through Flickr and Photo Shop, which I don't do that often.

My Love For Photography

The last few days I have literally spent most of the day playing with my photography and I have been loving it!!! http://www.flickr.com/photos/purech/sets/72157605690608017/

I have a few more to finish.

I could have totally used this one for my emotions photohunter post!!

I am thinking I need to start putting together a portfolio and then maybe get some families who would let me do some shooting for them. I really do love it!!

I know I know...I have tons of sewing that needs to be done...I'm just not feeling it right now. There is a baby blanket that I need to do some hand stitching on and then that will be done... It is just hard to find people who have the money to spend anymore...Life sucks. But we will all get through this and things will hopefully get better sooner then later.

Well off to get our day started. We all slept in, it was actually kind of nice. : )

I took this of a friend of mine. Yes, she did do that to her hair on purpose. :) She is a wonderful sweet and funny person!

Lazy: Disinclined to exertion; slothful; indolent; slow.

Why do these words exist in our lives?

I don't want to be known for these but daily I find myself struggling with all of them.

I'm off to try and do better : )

It is Finished!!

Ok so I did it! The smock is finished but my daughter has already claimed it as her own.
I will be making more soon though and then will most likely place them in my Etsy Shop

I Think I Have it...

Thank you to everyone who gave me their input!

I deleted the last post because, well the photos were so bad!! And everything changed, at least for now...it hasn't been set in stone yet. ; )

So I made a smock (child size) and was trying to figure out what design to put on the front pocket. What do you think of this one?

I think it is fun and different. This may be the one!

I will have a photo of the whole thing a little later.

Something Different

This weekend I felt like making something different. I did get the black tat handbag finished, by the way it looks great!! But I needed to change things up so I made this...I guess you could call it a bath mat. I used a lush towel for the facing.

I can flip it over if I feel like a change.

My bathroom doesn't really match I guess but it was something different. We rent so making changes is a bit ruff...but I do have permission to paint and I am going to redo the cabinets. So we will see what the future holds. : )
