It is a beautiful week
Slowly allowing inspiration to get me back on track... creative juices working their way through my system... moving into warm summer weather... wanting to paint, wanting to create!
Prepping myself for the new chapter that will be unfolding before our eyes at the end of summer... a little nervous... but that is normal for me.
A friend shared this with me today... I LOVE the Flintstones!!!!

Didn't do a whole lot today... went out shopping for a few much needed things, like shoes for my oldest... Finally got the tomato plant in the ground and gave it some food so that it can grow big and strong... Took some photos of some of the plants already growing in my yard.
Lilacs (I have an allergy to them) Hydrangea that has tripled in size since the sun came out. and some of my beautiful irises that I love so much...they desperately need to be divided though.

Will probably spend the rest of the night cleaning up the kitchen, living/dinning room, coloring my hair, and maybe watch a movie or two.

Finally bought some cherry tomatoes for my kids, they told me they like those the best.
Guaranteed that most of them won't even make it into the house. Which is fine with me because I hate tomatoes...give me ketchup, sauce, and lasagna but a plain ol' tomato No thanks!
Fred Meyers is having a potted plant sale this week, you can get a 1 gallon tomato plant for $3.99 instead of 4.99...I think that is a pretty good price because by the time it starts getting the fruit you have more then got your money back! Much cheaper then buying just the fruit at the store and paying almost the same amount.
I think the next plant I would like to get is lettuce and strawberries. I also would love some mint, basil and lemon thyme!! There is a nursery by my parent's and they had the best smelling chocolate mint and lemon thyme but it doesn't look like I will be able to get any this year. I will have to remember for next time we go down though.

Now to plant the tomatoes...need to kill the ants that have taken over the garden box and then we should be good to dig and plant.

Have a headache today, don't know if it is lack of sugar or lack of water. Doesn't feel good though.
Listening to a free download of Lanae' Hale's CD "Back and Forth"...I like it so far.
Need to start getting dinner ready for tonight...I'm thinking BBQ ribs, watermelon (I forgot about it), strawberry shortcake and I will have to think of a side dish. It just sounds good.

I will have pictures most likely over on my facebook when the tomatoes are grown.
Good Day!!

Thoughts for Today. . . .

There's always a lot to be thankful for if you take time to look for it. For example I am sitting here thinking how nice it is that wrinkles don't hurt.

When I'm feeling down, I like to whistle. It makes the neighbor's dog run to the end of his chain and gag himself.

If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.

Don't assume malice for what stupidity can explain.

A penny saved is a government oversight.

The real art of conversation is not only to say the right thing at the right time, but also to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment.

The older you get, the tougher it is to lose weight, because by then your body and your fat are really good friends.

The easiest way to find something lost around the house is to buy a replacement.

He who hesitates is probably right.

If you think there is good in everybody, you haven't met everybody.

If you can smile when things go wrong, you have someone in mind to blame.

The sole purpose of a child's middle name is so he can tell when he's really in trouble.

Did you ever notice: When you put the two words "The" and "IRS" together it spells "THEIRS"?

If you are close enough to read this, I am close enough to slam on my brakes and sue you.

Don't look back, they might be gaining on you.

Don't make me mad - I'm running out of places to hide the bodies.

Honk if you love peace and quiet.

Go on, I'll see you at the next traffic light.

I may be slow but I'm ahead of you!

Over Five Years

Have we seriously been in the same place for over five years!?!?!
I was looking over photos today and couldn't believe how many changes we have gone through year to year, heck sometimes it was month to month!
We as people have not only changed but our surroundings have too, we started out with very little and now have more then we really need. I think that might be one reason why I liked moving as a child...we always got to in a way start over again. Now the old and new collide and it sure does make a big mess when it does.
I don't know that I want to do another garage sale...but I might try putting some furniture online...First though I need to do some manicures on some of the furniture to make it worthy enough to sell.

I haven't touched my fabric in a while or even looked at it for that matter. At some point I will be ready to get on that boat again...there are some things I need to make.

The Lord has me going in a new direction it seems. The kids will be going to school in the Fall and that could mean me getting a job. Don't know if my husband will have a firm job by then but we can only pray and hope.
These days are really stressful and hard on everyone and I hope that we can all come out of this stronger.

And where did my children suddenly get all this energy from!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can not keep up and it is really honestly driving me insane!!! ; ) I need a whole bucket of Calgon to take this away, at least for the weekend. ; )

Happy Mama's Day my friends, I hope you have a Blessed weekend!
