A friend of mine came over on Saturday to give me a new look.
I went with some colors that I have never done before for fear that it would totally wash me out.
Well it didn't and I love it!!!

Our friends that were staying with us left this afternoon for their new place... It is quiet, but I do miss having them all around. They didn't go far but, still, I did enjoy their company. =)
Not much else going on... at least that I can think of, I'm sure there is more... there always is... but nothing is coming to mind.
Wasn't that fun.

Sad little rhino...
Feel like this rhino often... working so hard yet things never seem to change.

House full of friends this week, sharing one bathroom, older kids keeping an eye out on younger kids.... actually getting my children to play the quiet game for almost an hour!!!!!!! THIS NEVER HAPPENS! And it was so nice to have complete silence and of course hilarious to see how the kids figured out how to communicate without their voices.
It has been nice. =)

Completely exhausted... weather is being strange... husband working so hard and is also exhausted... Tomorrow is Father's Day... gift already prepared... most of the day will be spent at In-Laws... don't really want to go at this moment in time but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Walked all but once this week... started off bad but next week should go better.
Thought I was ready for the Summer craziness with the constant doing of things... But I'm not, this mama needs "down time"

huh, I feel like I've been running on that treadmill...

Sort of feeling gloomy today... it hit late last night like a hurricane.
Physically I haven't been doing well... I did do some research on Lupus because it runs in my family... My mom and her grandmother both have/had it, great grandma passed many years ago. It looks like I have a few things going on that point to it but in order to confirm it there has to be at least 4. I wish there was one blood test to find out, but right now they have to do multiple tests and even then it is hard. Because it is an autoimmune disease

This week has been pretty good though. Started our woman's summer walking on Monday. We walk Monday-Wednesday and then on Friday. Thursday morning we will be having Bible Study this summer for the first time. I'm glad... never liked having so much time in between.
The kids enjoy it because they all get to play on the play structures while we walk and then they get to hang out during Bible Study. SO lots of interaction with others.

Our big thing around here lately has been The Hardy Boy's and Nancy Drew Mysteries.
We have, so far, seen Seasons 1 & 2, we have listened to one of three audio books and have a book waiting at the library. My oldest loves it and I am getting a kick out of it also... I have never seen the t.v. shows before and never had the privilege as a child to read any of the books.

Well the sun is shining and I lost what I was going to say... So I guess I'm off to read and maybe figure out what we will be having for dinner. Some old friends, who are moving up from Cali to live in Vancouver will be showing up sometime today. They might be staying with us for a little bit... they still haven't been able to find a place to live but have jobs waiting for them when they get there. So praying that it all works out for them.

It has turned out to be quite a beautiful day!
Sun is shining, coffee brewed and in my mug, all three children actually taking a nap!
Silence is Golden and I love it!

Started the weekend off by cleaning the church (my Friday job) It was a mess... We share a building with multiple churches and a day care and last week they had graduations ALL week!
My friend came and helped me and the kids helped out also.
After that we got some Taco Bell, got the kids in bed then we sat and watched Laverne & Shirley late into the night. It was good times!
My man didn't have such a good day... They had 8 windows to install at a place and only got one window done... measurement problems and the guy he works with is always late so they didn't get started till late late in the morning.

Saturday was going to be a lazy day, didn't do much.
Our mini van died and can not be revived. Which is fine because we didn't have any breaks.
I'm so glad the brakes didn't go out while I was driving it! They stopped working in the driveway. So now I have no transportation to speak of. But the Lord is so good and He is definitely providing even if we can't see it quite yet.

Sunday, went to church... Worship was incredible!!! I tried my best not to cry but to hear the room filled with hearts of praise touched my own heart. I swore I could hear the angels singing with us... Do you ever have those moments during worship at church?? It sounded like there were thousands of people there... truly a sweet moment! My friend thought the same thing and she sings with the worship team.
After church and a bit of fellowship with those around us. We headed out to the store for some food items and while we were out a gal that works at my husband's other job text him and asked him if he was still interested in buying her VW bug because she had to get it out of her sister's driveway NOW! So he went and got it. She is allowing us to make payments which is awesome and it is exactly what Paul has been looking at for the past few months.
The VW is the cutest little thing... She needs a few body parts and a little makeup but she runs great and the parts are really cheap!!
AND there is a sticker in the back window that says, "Peas and Carrots"!!
I love it! Nothing like a VW with a good since of humor.
Our VW Micro Bus has a license plate cover that says, "National Atheist Day... April 1st"
We are still looking at getting another car that will fit all of us + more but that will take a little longer.

And as for today... The ladies from church walk every summer, so today was our first day... We are starting off with two miles but once we get going a few of us will get up to 4 + miles and maybe even some jogging... we will see how my body holds out. It is great for the kids also because they have play equipment to play on while we walk. I will take some photos when I get a chance. We are also starting a summer bible study on Psalms... I am so glad because I never liked taking long breaks from bible study.
Looks like I'm going to be pretty busy this summer!

And I have tomatoes growing!!! I hate to eat them but they are SO pretty!!

June 10, 2009

Of course I have the photos back wards.... Yesterday I was out mowing the front lawn for my guy because he has been working really hard the past few weeks and doesn't ever have time. Of course I am paying for it today and can hardly type but it is all worth it for my guy!

The basil, at least this one started to bloom... I don't remember what this one was called but it has a spicy smell!!! SO YUMMY! I took the photo then my mother-in-law said I needed to get rid of the flowers because it will take the nutrition away from the leaves and stem.
The tomato plant is doing well also... I think this is the first photo I have taken of it's flower fully open. Very beautiful actually.

Did this yesterday also. Fred Meyers had strawberries 4 lbs for $5.00 I thought that was a great deal! So I cut them up and put them in freezer bags. YUM!

Tuesday my friend came out in the afternoon and picked the kids and I up to head to the library.
They have a neat little area with a pond and ducks and there are a couple little nutrients (beaver/rat looking things) So after we got some books we walked down and let the kids hang out for a little bit. My big guy wasn't in these but I had to post them anyways. I love how the two photos above turned out!

If you look really close in the photo on the left you can see the beaver/rat thing. I think you can click on the picture and it will give you a better look. And those yellow iris were so pretty!

So it has been a pretty good week so far. The rain is here again though and I feel like a mag truck hit me (from yesterday) but I can say it's been pretty nice.

June 8, 2009

So last week I decided I was going to do www.flylady.net
I have done good so far keeping my sink clean and shiny! And I am still working on getting my shoes on in the morning to be ready for the day. But all in all I am just pleased that I am doing something to keep this place in order.

For Emily =)

My husband got me this for our Anniversary a while back.
It's one of Johnny Depp's tats that he has and that they used in Pirates Of The Caribbean.
It is my first and I want to get some more... The only reason I got this one is because I opened my mouth and said if I was going to get a tattoo it would be this one.
I love the old school sailor look. The tat artist did a great job!!

A little pathetic but it will look better when it fills out.

.
Yesterday it was beautiful out!The kids played in the water, I finally decided to get out the shovel and dig up a section behind the tomato plant in the garden box...there are two one is totally over grown with grass and weeds and the other has a small section that didn't have anything but ants... killed most the ants at the beginning of the month. Anyways dug up the ground a bit and then planted the basil...All was nice. Sat in the sun with my girl next to me holding my hand, I do love those precious moments we share... she is usually playing with my hair as she sits with me.Then we all came in because the kids were starting to fight and get cranky.Just in time for the severe Thunderstorm that hit with out a warning. The kids got a kick out of... I opened up the slider and front door and we just sat and listened to it. The boys sat and counted the lighting strikes and the thunder.I did go out and check on the basil and it seems to have stood up to what the weather had thrown at it.
So besides the fact that my hormones are a bit out of control all in all it was a pretty good day.

~The garden will slowly grow~
We have a cherry tomato plant already in the ground and the little flowers are starting to grow!!

Then the other day we went out and I got this beautiful dark Basil, there are actually three different kinds and they all smell so incredible!!

And to add to my very small collection of mint, my husband, who can't stand mint, let me get two plants! The one on the left is Spearmint and the one on the right is Chocolate Mint...
OH how I LOVE Chocolate Mint!!

So the garden is slowly growing. Of course it won't all be in the same spot because honestly I haven't put an area for the garden together but hoping to get some pots and dirt to have them on the patio within reach!

Priceless Moment

I believe my mother-in-law took this a while ago and I just now found it on my computer.
I love it!!
