Both trees are up and decorated.  The trees are close to 7' and I can't believe my son is over half way there!!! WOW!

Today is the last day of November and December will be over in a blink of an eye!
Everyone seems to be well once again... I think having a week off really helped, of course my guy was sick the whole time and my stomach still isn't doing very well, but the kids are good and I'm hoping that they will stay that way through the rest of the winter season.
So I'm off to clean clean clean... a week off makes for a very messy house. I was going to write more but I really need to get going on everything before my girl comes home.
Good day to you!

More Life

“Peace is to be found in the acceptance of things we are unable to change.” —Author Unknown

And boy do I have a lot I can't change right now! Even through my struggles I become stronger through His grace!! We are some pretty loved kids! ♥

I posted this on facebook today and thought I'd post over here also.

Life has been one crazy ride these last weeks... I have to say I feel completely defeated but the Lord is getting me through it and I am learning to adjust.

Still struggling with daughter and head lice... she is "one" they really like and it is a constant battle to keep them in check. No one else has gotten it and I am grateful for that, but my poor girl having to sit through all of this each night is sad. I even ended up cutting her hair off.

She is so stinkin' adorable with it short so I guess it all worked out, but I'm to the point where I'm thinking it still isn't short enough... I just don't want to go there. She needs hair. ;0)

But that is the least of my problem... my youngest son ended up with HFMD!

Talk about discouraging... discouraged to the point that yesterday I felt like the worst mother on the face of the earth. It isn't anything we did or didn't do. It just happened. My children have always been around other kids but now they are around many and it is hard to see them go through this.

He is doing really well though! I started putting vitamin E and my MSM lotion on the infected areas and it has kept the rash from spreading and it is actually starting to clear up pretty fast. I told him not to use the hand sanitizer at school anymore because seriously it has been used to much on every body... our bodies are less able to fight sickness if we keep using that and anything antibacterial. Stick to the good ol' cleaners.

As for the lice... I checked out a few different websites that sell natural shampoos and such and made my own... in a spray bottle of water I put tea tree oil, peppermint, and rosemary (some of the items found in most of the shampoos and stuff on these websites) I just started spraying everything down with it today and I will be spraying my daughters hair with it daily and her back pack and such.

We will get through this! there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.

Thank giving in a couple weeks... and surprisingly I haven't gotten in the mood to bake! I always get in the mood to bake come October... everyone I know though is on a "diet" so who knows whats going to be on the table this year. It is somewhat disappointing that the traditional dinner has gone out the window. It makes me sad.
Who knows maybe something will click and the baking will happen... pumpkin pie and cookies of different kinds... make for great gifts.

My girl has been home from school since Thursday with a cold... she is restless and has done some work books we have sitting around and of course those wonderful shows like Word World... which I don't mind watching one bit. =)

Have a few more people to get/make gifts for... but really struggling as to what to get for the kids... I just don't know anymore, have seen some really neat things online, my guy wants to get some science type electric thing for our oldest so that the two of them can work together on it.
Our middle guy wants a guitar strap and stand for his guitar... so I guess the two are taken care of when we can go out and do this. But as for our 6 yr old girly girl... I just don't know. She does love babies...maybe we will go that route... still not sure. I love this time of year because we get to give to others, the "getting" just isn't as important and I love that!

Well I must go eat and get this house cleaned up for the weekend... book club will be here tomorrow and this place needs to be presentable.

Photography...

I was going through all of my photographs the yesterday and realized I have thousands!
My goal is to go through every single one of them and put the best of the best in their own file so that I have them at my finger tips because it is hard to find the best out of thousands without going insane and wasting all those hours during the day.
This is going to take a while but I'm thinking if I can just spend a few hours a day it will all get taken care of in due time.  Wish me luck... I will probably start this next week, my girl has a cold and is home from school today and most likely tomorrow.

Man VS. Food

We love watching Man vs Food!
The other day we had a little marathon and watched the first season. I would love to go to most of these places because the food
The sandwich my husband make had a weird combination but it was actually very delicious!
I'm craving another one... should go make lunch now.

Tis the season...

November... Can you believe we are in November!?!
I feel as though I am falling behind. Not that I had planned anything in the first place. There are things I could sew and crochet... Things that should go in my etsy shop but most likely won't until it's to late.
Always always pumpkin this and pumpkin that because that is what I'm craving! Haven't gotten my pumpkin pie yet but we have pumpkin spice coffee, whether it be from Starbucks or made from scratch here at home, pumpkin Hersey kisses, pumpkin tea, pumpkin eggnog...
It seems I can't get enough.

Our oldest will be turning 10 in a few weeks...
just that much closer to being a teenager... my did time fly.

Not much else to say I guess... things are pretty good around here. The days just keep floating by and we just try to keep enjoying the ride.
Happy November to you!
